This distinctive Persian hand-embroidered half-moon tablecloth comes from South Khorasan, Iran. Its semicircular composition is densely decorated with floral medallions, scrolling botanical forms and repeated boteh (paisley) motifs in deep green, red, pink, blue, orange and burgundy against a warm ivory ground.

The curved format makes the textile especially suited to console tables, sideboards and decorative displays where the embroidery can remain fully visible. A satin lining gives the reverse a refined finish, while the carefully worked gold-tone edging frames the curved border.

The piece has been described as pateh embroidery (پته‌دوزی). Reference works on Iranian crafts specifically associate traditional pata-duzi with Kerman, while Persian textile arts encompass many regional forms of embroidery and needlework. For cultural accuracy, Cheragh therefore presents this as a hand-embroidered Persian textile from South Khorasan while retaining “pateh” as the supplied description rather than claiming it as a historically native South Khorasan technique.
