This richly detailed hand-embroidered Persian tablecloth was made by an artisan from the area surrounding Bandar Abbas in southern Iran. Against a deep black ground, layers of vivid floral, scrolling and paisley-inspired motifs create a striking composition in pink, turquoise, green, red, yellow and white.

The textile is finished with a satin lining and carefully executed gold-tone edging, giving the piece a refined finish suitable for a special table, decorative display or a distinctive interior accent. The dense central medallion and surrounding floral embroidery make every viewing angle visually rich.

The maker describes the work as pateh embroidery (پته‌دوزی). In established references on Iranian crafts, traditional pata/pateh embroidery is particularly associated with Kerman, while Iran has many regional embroidery traditions with their own motifs and methods. To preserve both the maker’s description and accurate cultural context, Cheragh presents this piece as a Persian hand-embroidered textile made in the Bandar Abbas area rather than claiming pateh as a historically native Bandar Abbas tradition.
