Cheragh-Nameh | Issue 1: Who We Are
You may have read that Cheragh means “light” — and that we’re a community of Iranian volunteers in the Netherlands. But here’s the story behind that light.
It started in the dark winter of 2026 — a time that left deep marks on many hearts. A group of 5 Iranians living in the Netherlands decided to take an action. Artists, calligraphers, photographers, graphic designers, and organizers came together with one shared belief: that even small gestures can make a real difference.
Every product we offer at Cheragh could support people in need across three areas:
🏥 Medical & Healthcare — funding treatment and medicine for those who cannot afford care
🛒 Livelihood — providing essential food and daily necessities to vulnerable families
📚 Education — supporting children’s access to learning and growth.
We started in January, today almost end of July, we have grown significantly. We expanded the scope of Cheragh from producing artworks locally in the Netherlands. We are now supporting the artistis living in Iran holding small businesses as well by buyi g their artworks and selling them internationally and loop the money back to Iran, and we are proud of this.
We are not limited to the netherland anymore, we have a chain all over the world. People have volunteered themselves to light Cheragh in North America. We are launching our products overthere. And we are happy with the impact we can make.
